Six-Joint House

This building was originally a six-unit staff dormitory built during the time of the Dakekan Subprefecture, and was rebuilt several times during and after the Japanese occupation.

The current restoration has left the three front units as they were used by their post-war residents, including the kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms built in back by the residents themselves. The first unit is the Living Room, presenting stories and artifacts of the original inhabitants, and the second and third units are residences for craftsmen. The three back units are used as craft classrooms.
