在木博館園區中，可以找到很多大樹，它們是原來住在這些警察宿舍的各家庭親手種下的，從原本的小樹苗，茁壯成為現在我們看到的大樹，陪伴著居民一起成長，充滿許多難忘的小故事。
Enjoying the shade under the tree—our favorite pastime!
There are plenty of giant, lush trees around the Ecomuseum estate. They were planted as saplings by the families who inhabited the police dormitories years before; generations after, the saplings flourished into towering trees with proud umbrage of today, delighting in the seasons the residents go through and the stories they tell.

在馬路上會看到有賣花阿婆賣著一串串香香的玉蘭花，但是很少看的到玉蘭花的樹，而且這麼大一棵呢！
這一棵大玉蘭樹，聽說是以前的住戶賴阿姨種下的。她的老公是曾擔任警衛部隊的吳隊長，為了保護故總統蔣中正的任務這搬到這裡，住宿空間是由日式建築武德殿的附屬建築廊道改建而成。
他們在這生活活了近60年，賴阿姨一家人是武德殿附屬建築最後搬離的住戶。而這棵從小樹苗也長成大樹，成為大家最喜歡在木博館乘涼聊天的首選位置喔！
The white Michelia mini-bouquets on the plaza fronting the Daxi History Hall
We occasionally spot elderly women selling perfumed mini-bouquets of white Michelia on the streets, but white Michelia trees—at this size—are truly a rarity!
This giant white Michelia tree is said to be planted by a Ms. Lai, a resident from generations ago. Her husband served as the chief of the guardsmen in charge of ensuring president Chiang’s personal safety, which was the reason for the relocation to Daxi. Their living quarters were converted from the outbuilding hallway of the Wude Hall, an iconic Japanese structure.
