本件鑲螺鈿、花梨木嵌貝鼓凳是當代大溪仿古家具之一種，螺鈿的細膩雕琢和花梨木的質感賦予其藝術性及實用價值。其造型為有膨而圓的腔體，上下對稱，座面和托泥圈足直徑相等，座面下緣側邊和腿足下都有鼓釘的痕跡，其形似鼓，故也稱為鼓墩。
本件鼓凳有八隻腿足，腿足之間成豎立橢圓開光，腿足下有托泥，托泥下又加小足。凳面及腿足以螺鈿鑲嵌梅花、牡丹花、孔雀、蝴蝶和花草紋等圖案。暗赭色花梨木和螺鈿的對比，在燈光照映下，反射閃閃光芒。
This mother-of-pearl inlaid rosewood drum stool is a modern example of Daxi-style antique reproduction furniture. The meticulous mother-of-pearl inlay and the rich texture of rosewood give it both artistic and practical value. The design features a rounded, bulging body, symmetrical from top to bottom, with the same diameter for both the seat and base. Drum nail imprints adorn the underside of the seat and the lower parts of the legs, lending it a drum-like appearance, hence the name ""drum stool.""
This stool has eight legs, with oval openings between them. Each leg has a supporting base with additional smaller feet beneath. The seat and legs are adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays depicting motifs of plum blossoms, peonies, peacocks, butterflies, and floral patterns. The dark reddish-brown rosewood contrasts with the shimmering inlay, which reflects a radiant glow under the light.
