Martial Arts Dojo was built with RC technics, featuring a artisanal wood ridge; the banisters are accented with a coating of pebbles and moldings to imitate the original exterior.
Martial Arts Dojo of Daxi was built in the 10th year of the Shōwa Era (1935). Before WWII erupted that changed the course of world history, Japan adopted militarism and advocated Bushido (“Samurai moral code”) and with that, it began to erect the Wude Hall in earnest, dedicated to Judo and Kendo training for policemen and youth.
The architectural features of the Wude Hall acknowledge the RC technics improvements of the 1930’s: they involved reinforced brickwork for the main structure, a hip-and-gable roof, accented with concrete support structures created to look like the wood components: the pillars at the entrance, the banisters and the facades, surfaced with exposed aggregates.
