大溪為全臺灣最典型之對稱河階地形，眾多湧泉與大溪聚落發展史、月眉與順時埔的農業用水相關，從志清亭正好可以一覽順時埔的水圳農業景觀。
Daxi boasts Taiwan’s most iconic, symmetrical terrace landscape. The numerous gushing springs are intimately connected to Daxi’s tribal development, and the agricultural water demands of Yuemei and Shunshipu. Here at Pagoda Zhiqing, one can also get a panoramic view of Shunshipu’s agriculturally-inspired water canal vista.
順時埔位於大溪聚落西南側、河階第三層之低位河階，時常有水患，居民較少，土地利用主要以水稻種植為主，另有少量甘蔗旱作。順時埔之農業水利設施以順時埔圳（暫稱，與月眉圳同系統）為主，水源來自大漢溪上游，以及內柵面河階崖之數處湧泉。
順時埔農業與水利特殊景觀包括小規模的水筧橋、分水工與雙渠並行、古井、洗衫坑、七星砌法田埂，相關信仰則包括仙佑福福德祠與田尾鎮田宮。
Shunshipu sits on the southwestern side of Daxi’s residential area, and the low-lying deck on the third level of the terrace. The frequent occurrence of floods explains the scarce population. This area is used primarily to grow rice, with a minimal amount of drought-tolerant sugarcane farming. Shunshipu Canal (a provisional name—it shares the same water system as Yuemei Canal) is the primary agricultural irrigation facility, its water source comes primarily from the upper stream of Dahan River, and the several gushing springs along the outcrops by the river terrace that nestles against Neizha.
Here are some of the notable landscapes found in Shunshipu’s agricultural and water resource areas: the miniature Shuimi Bridge, with a water-division design and a twin-ditch, parallel each other; Gujing, Xishankeng (“Laundry Hole”), and Qixing ridge engineering between rice paddies. Xianyufu Fude Temple and Zhentian Temple of Tianwei are the two religious centers of the area.
