
橫跨大漢溪、連接河東與河西的「大溪橋」,過去是進入大溪市街的重要道路,也見證大溪交通的更迭。後來隨著武嶺橋與崁津橋落成,大溪橋逐漸失去交通運輸的重要性,現在是大溪的知名景點。
大溪橋最早是以竹籠與石塊堆疊興建而成的竹木板橋,1934年改建成為雙孔鋼索吊橋。之後又歷經了兩次的改建,現在是一座全長三百三十公尺、共十三根橋墩的鋼筋混凝土橋。
Daxi Bridge straddles Dahan River to connect the east and west riverbanks. It used to be a vital connector to Daxi’s market street, and it bears witness to the town’s transportation development transitions. With the launch of Wuling Bridge and Kanjin Bridge in recent years, Daxi Bridge began to be phased out of its role as a crucial travel link, and evolved into a renowned tourist destination.
Daxi Bridge, in its earliest version, was a flatbed bamboo bridge built with a bamboo cage and piled-up rocks. In 1934, the structure was upgraded to a double-span suspension bridge. Two more updates were performed in the years to come. At present, it is a RC bridge at 330 meters in length and supported by 13 strong piers.

經歷多次修建的大溪橋,現今成為觀光用的行人橋,夜晚還有燈光照明,隨著彩虹顏色(紅、橙、黃、綠、藍、靛、紫)變化!
